Anyone here have the blower make noise in the cabin? Mine makes noise at lower fan speeds. Sounds like a tweeting sound. Any idea what the (US$) solution costs?

It's a pretty common problem on these cars unfortunately. I don't know what it costs to fix as it's a fair amount of labor and that can vary depending on where you live. There's a Volvo specific tool though I think some folks have gotten by without it. Some have tried to lubricate the unit to put off replacing though I don't know how successful that is.

T'was a warmish day today, I was able to install OEM r design pedals and the sun curtains all around! I was messing with the rear ones for a while and then I realized Volvo included these little clip things that hold it in place. Nifty...

Anyways, my car is becoming quite the family friendly practical cruiser. All happy here!

Yep, I replaced my blower at 150k km's and I'm now just shy of 300k km and it's begun squeaking again. I may just leave it until I can't take it anymore. It's a finicky job to replace the blower and it takes about 2hrs. You also need the blower remover tool which can be found online. You are welcome to borrow mine but I"m guessing shipping to you and back may be cost prohibitive...

Bearing failure on the blower motor is a common failure and that tweeting sound is how it typically presents. I had to replace mine 2 years ago after intermittent chirping became a constant annoyance. IIRC the motor was a couple hundred bucks and the special installation tool was another $80 or so. No idea what a shop would charge for labor but it requires a lot of dash disassembly and is a PITA (but not impossible) once you’re in there.

I have this same noise, yes. Looking for a solution as well, hopefully without pulling the dash apart.

Dumb question- my left windshield wiper can't stay raised when in park, it's like the hood is in the way of the wiper motor.

With all this snow we're getting where I'm at I'd like to keep it raised if at all possible, but it doesn't seem possible on this car?

Hardwired my dashcam and ran the wired rear camera. Including wiring through the wire boot on the back hatch. Also discovered the source of my leak - windshield is not sealing. Taking it to a windshield shop to have them glue it in.

What did you tap for the front?
