Yes, correct! The thing at the top of the tower is a Federal signal Thunderbolt 1000t, my gf and I find these old mechanical sirens fascinating, and they’re fun to spot wherever we go. Glad you watched the TikTok haha, the Flashacama is currently in storage because the roads suck here with salt and sand and it’s awaiting its manual swap. I tried the aw55 and I don’t like it at all. Kind of sucks the spark out of driving an R for me :( But it’s not getting swapped until I finish the T5 engine swap on my sonicama SR. These bigger projects take a lot of planning time wise nowadays as I’ve been so busy with work.

I think you and Annie might have like an unofficial Swedespeed fan base, or maybe we're living vicariously through you saving 400 Rs and also because Bean. Also yr silver wagon is just so minty

Thanks 🥹 I hope someday that my cars can be enjoyed and appreciated by a future generation in a world of mind numbing EVs, I used to do partouts but I get way more out of keeping this dying breed of quirky cars alive.

Super noble and a good goal imo. How nuts would a Tesla swapped R be though... None of the 5cyl character but all of the murderous acceleration

Excuse me, on the 1000 mile drive home, you said "it's really not as bad as I was expecting, it's actually quite good" or something along those lines. Don't offend Hank like that!! 😔

I am honored that sharing my silly little S40 and our Volvo adventure stories makes people smile 😁 It is genuinely my favorite part about having owned Bean, and documenting the adventures Jacob and I go on. There's nothing more fun than having a niche interest, except sharing the joy of your niche interest with others!

Listen, it may have been the best aw55 I’ve driven, but it’s still going straight to jail for stealing all my torque! Robbery!

I've often thought about what a rotary swap would be like... lol
No fun.. No torque. The 13B-rew needs to be a lightweight body otherwise it's no fun, seriously. Love it, miss it but it's not perfect.

Put the V70R on the lift this morning to trace an oil leak that appeared recently (it was significant enough to leave a few drops in the garage overnight). Turned out that the oil drain plug needed to be tightened just a little more - it was weeping just the tiniest bit. I've used a torque wrench to tighten it to spec the last few oil changes, but maybe all those years of overtightening mean it needs a little more than spec, now. At least it wasn't something more involved!

Installed the twin plate clutch on the sonicama. Should be able to finally handle the torque.

Destroyed the previous one (smf with ceramic 6 Puck clutch plate)
