The auto parts store around here do. Apparently at AutoZone the limit is 5 jugs per visit, or maybe 5 jugs per whatever employee sees you. I only know this because I was checking out and some guy came in and asked for a cart, then came in with probably 15 jugs of oil.. that's when the manager said, "we'll do it this time, but the limit is 5" could be blowing smoke, not sure.

First time I hit AutoZone during our post-moving purge the guy was like "yeah just put em on the cart." I left 6 jugs. Next time it was like the store manager or something and he would only take 3 and wanted my phone number.

My town's recycling center will take coolant and oil but they already asked once if we were a business when we showed up with 30 years worth of florescent tubes we had no way to get rid of at my old house lol. So I'm metering my output of fluids to them.

I'm in Massachusetts. There's an Autozone near me that doesn't have a limit on oil. Then there's a Carquest(same company) that refuses to take oil unless it's in a jug.

And no one takes used coolant.

Sadly an old guy I worked with used to get rid of his coolant by diluting it a lot and digging a hole in his backyard 😢 I know some people will mix there fluids and get rid of them at oil drop offs but that's not cool because most places will shut down there free oil drop offs if people keep doing it. If anyone can chime in around the Cleveland area to discard of coolant I would really appreciate it! I guess I could go and build a relationship with the Volvo dealership down the road in hopes they will take it 🤞

You have to write your name and address on a clipboard when dropping oil at my local parts store (the Irish one). I usually just write nonsense. They always ask very seriously if the oil is contaminated with anything, I'm sure they've seen it all. Coolant is a tough one, local transfer station will take it but their hours are really limited.

This quick change place will take coolant, as long as it is uncontaminated (no oil mixed in). They take my used brake fluid, as well. I have run into a 5-gallon-limit at Autozone before, too. I've dropped stuff off at Advance Auto, before, as well. Some places will dump it and make you take your jugs back. This quick-lube place has worked out the best for me for now. And, yeah, sometimes they have me sign in when I drop stuff off, and other times they don't. I initially found the quick-lube place on a list of recycling options at my township's website.

10 mm front/15 mm rear spacers on, ZERO tire rub with 235/45R18 Michelin winter tires and stock 18x8 Pegs. Plus the fitment is 1000x better (see images) above.

Also got a muffler delete done, so now the R has a TME downpipe (with cat), iPD catback and resonator, and no muffler. It sounds phenomenal. Not too loud, not too quiet, just perfect.

Also ordered a Stage 2 Hilton tune that I'll hopefully get going this week sometime.

I heated my tranny shop for 25yrs with used tranny fluid.It was a lot more maintenance with filter and combustion chamber but it saved the shop loads of money.Plus no big deal opening the garage doors a lot.

Got an intermittent chassis settings service required light up on the dash the last couple of weeks. Wasn’t too worried since I had already deleted the 4c. Hooked up vida today and showed front right accelerometer signal missing. Took the wheel off to investigate and this is what the wheel well collected during the winter.

Pretty concerning to say the least. I decided to clean the sensor up and borrowed the wife’s hair dryer to try to remove all of the moisture. Wrapped it with shrink wrap and reinstalled. It actually resolved the problem so pretty happy!

I rewarded myself by test fitting the new shoes. I didn’t get a chance to try the viva spacers that change the hub bore yet. Everything worked as advertised and the wheels clear the calipers nicely so that’s good.

Hopefully the Volutions will never be placed on such a dirty car again!

How's the drone at 60-70mph? Better than with the ipd muffler?

It's really not bad at all. I'm running winters right now so added with the road noise, I'd say on a scale of 1-10 where 10 is so loud you can't even carry a normal conversation, the exhaust on the highway inside the car is at a 4-5. I can comfortably listen to music at the same volume I did before, and also carry a normal conversation.

When "engine braking" it's a little louder than before, but still it isn't drone-y. When at around 75-80 mph in sixth it puts you at around 3k rpm, so that's where I'd say it ramps up to a 5-6 out of 10, but I daily this thing and I honestly wouldn't have it any other way. Sounds beautiful. The turbo whistle has gotten me ridiculous amounts of compliments from BMW guys, Honda guys, etc.

It even got one group of guys to ask me if the Prancing Moose badge on my car was a Ferrari badge

DEFINITELY better than with the iPD muffler. That thing was trash.

I was tipped off to it by someone who found it at an estate auction not too far from me, he called to ask me some questions about the R platform and decided it wasn’t the car for him, but told me to give the seller a call, I did figuring I’d just get some info on it, but my mouth quickly regurgitated a cash offer and now here we are. 05 M66 almost 270k but it’s in impressively good shape.
