Changed both front shock absorbers including upper bearings. Also had to change one of the lower ball joints, that was a bit of pain in the ass. Tried flexing off the rivets, but that didnt help, ended with drilling them out. Too bad didnt thought abiut drilling them out in the first place.
Also not bad for oem ball joint (290k km).

it has 99500 miles. I replaced the shocks after I found they had lost their nitrogen charge. When I pushed the shock rod, it didn't go back to its fully extended position.
Initially I was going to replace the bump stops, but when I removed the shock. I found out they were gone.

the cost of the parts was:

Shock Absorbers: $78.76 (eeuroparts.com / KYB 348082)

Shock Absorber mounts: $35.18 (eeuroparts.com / Lemforder 3131801)

Bump stop & dust cover kit: $19.99 (FCP Euro / Meyle 5147400000)
Seems like an excellent investment. Good on ya!
As I've mentioned before, I can string a tennis racket with my eyes closed; but I leave the wrench-work to the pros! I wish I had your talent.

Picked it up from the shop.

In fairness, they didn't start to look at it till Sept 2, and they're closed on Sat/Sun, but it was definitely a bit longer than originally expected. I'm glad to have it back, just in time for nice weather this weekend.

We've had some gorgeous mornings and evenings, for sure. But, that 99 degree prediction for Sunday will mean top UP this weekend!!! :)
Hope yours is running smoothly!!!

Oh yes, back to running nice and smooth again!

That 99 degree stuff can piss right off, once the sun's down, the top's down :D

Replaced the AC Compressor... used one from an S40 with ~50,000 miles on it... replaced the belts while we were in there, seemed silly not to at the price even though they were only two years old... nasty noise gone at a price a lot less than it sounded :D
Daughter delighted to be freed from Honda hell ;

Yesterday the front end refurb that’s been procrastinated for a lot longer than it should have been... struts/mounts, control arms, wheel bearings and engine mounts... doing the serpentine belt on my s60 too, then hopefully giving my wallet a rest for a while: I feel like I’m the treasurer of the aging Volvo preservation society ;)

Installed this "knock off" sport pedal kit I bought from aliexpress for $36:

Before:

After:

With the foot rest:

I didn't install the foot rest yet because it goes screwed to the carpet, and I remember there was something electrical under there. I'll have to check my older pictures to see what's going on the under there.

So the other day I got to borrow my C70 from my daughter and we went for a drive... when we got there I couldn't undo the drivers seat belt. 'Oh yeah, that's been sticking for a while' she tells me... I gave a a quick snarl of disapproval and asked when she had been planning to tell me about it... it was definitely latching properly but tricky to undo... I asked her what would happen if she needed to get out of the car in a hurry. I hadn't thought of that, she said, which I think proved the point that I do expect her to report any faults with the car, however insignificant they may seem.

Ordered replacement "seat belt receptacle' online yesterday for pickup at my local dealership, got the email that it was ready this afternoon, and since tomorrow is the start of my 'weekend' I decided to pull it into the garage to get the seat out so I could put it back in tomorrow after picking up the part.

Followed Michael's guide on FCP here

Worked pretty well, with a couple of variations... first put the roof in the trunk, makes most interior jobs far easier when you have better access. Michael's first step is to disconnect the battery... not so great with electric seats... I suggest moving the seat all the way forwards first... undo and remove the belt retaining rod and the two rear mounting bolts, slide the seat fully back and only then disconnect the battery so you can get to the front mounts - All five of the bolts (the rod and four seat corners) on my car were 13mm. The bolt holding the electrical connector together was a 7mm, other than that it was exactly as advertised.

I found 32 cents, an earring and a T20 screwdriver bit among the piles of breakfast sandwich crumbs which have now been vacuumed out... have soaked the carpet in Shout Auto carpet cleaner to remove the coffee stains.

Seat Belt receptacle is bolted to the seat with a T50 bolt, there's also a self-destructing one-time plastic washer as part of the assembly which I'm really hoping is an on-the-shelf part at the dealership, otherwise it's off the road until I can get one: I'm not putting it back together without it.

This info only applies up to chassis #39999 but I guess it should be the same for newer vehicles.

If the washer you mentioned is the #10 on the list. that part doesn't have a part number for some reason.

an alternative could be to try to find a nylon washer at home depot or another hardware store.

Thanks for the info, I’m all good, we looked it up at the dealership... before ordering it we took the buckle out of the box and found that it comes with a bolt and full set of washers... and 20 pages of instructions!

Do you know if it's possible to still get one of those diffusers?
I looked a few years ago and no one had any left in inventory. I lucked out when I found the used one that I bought...

Today I received and installed the ECU spacer I ordered a few days ago from GoVo engineering.

The spacer moves the ECU fins away from the velocity stack inside the air box.

ECU spacer installed.

The downside (for now) is: The ECU cover won't fit back in its place. I could force it, but I rather try to figure out a way to extend it 3/8" using a spare cover I have.

I tried to dremel it a little bit, but is not enough. It still won't clear.
