My wife is starting to open up to the idea of trading in our '99 S70 GLT for a wagon. She likes the Volvo SUV but it is going to be $40k+ with options we'd want.

I'd prefer a V70 R, a 2000 to be exact but I'd consider an '97 R or a '98/99 V70R if really nice.

She preferrs I find one at a Volvo dealer for a certified warranty. So I know that will tick up the price a tad.

thanks.

I think your best bet is to look for one on Ebay, look for a 2000 that still has factory warrenty

thanks guys.

Can"we" could buy Volvo's 'certified' warranty if we didn't buy the car from the dealer. ..or will they sell a third party warranty. I am not up to speed on extended warranties and what to look for or stay away from.

I found a silver 2000 V70R on Auto Trader, but it's at a Ford dealer. 48k miles.

I still have my 2000R in Silver for sale...summer and a busy schedule mean that I have been dragging my feet and here the car sits. 40,000 miles excellent condition, Roof rack, cargo cover, cargo tray, and second seat boosters as well as surround sound. I seriously must sell ASAP. First $26.5K gets it and I will throw in the Yakima cross bars/Yakima extended LoadWarrior. Original owner followed Volvo service/all records.
Very nice ride.

Welcome SwedeSpeeders...I would prefer sale to an enthusiast but AutoTrader will be next.
