I kinda like the AMG blue light that MountainR posted above, I'm sure White would be nice too. Not sure about orange though. Yeah, unless you have X-ray vision you won't see the off state.

is it possible to make color customizable at all (or even user swappable)? with white off, and custom color of choice? i assume this is limited by materials you need to use?

the lighted color depends on color of car. blue might look out of place on my black/atacama, but would look great with nordcap/gobi. while something lit up in orange might match my car but look horrible on others. i'm not even sure i'd want orange. i think i might even prefer white over blue. I'll be watching this thread with interest.

The lighted material I'm using comes pre-fabbed in the color combos. I mean it could def be customized to a persons' car colors, using your example, but within the limits of the pre-fabbed colors from the manufacturer.

slightly on topic. i ran across this looking for an image, anyone ever seen these before? It's only slightly on topic as the pic was of a door sill. I'm not comparing this to what you are doing juve. I just didn't want to start a new thread on it. Can't wait to see what becomes of this sill project. :thumbup:
