The Volvo/Cannondale Mountain Bike Team's Anne-Caroline Chausson continues her Downhill dominance in World Cup competition, winning again this past weekend in Durango, Colorado. Her first place finishes in Vancouver and Durango these past two weekends take her to a career record of 30 World Cup wins! With these wins beneath her belt, the 23-year-old Frenchwoman becomes the winningest racer in World Cup history! (She bested the previous record, set by Juli Furtado.) In addition, Chausson took third in Women’s Dual competition on Saturday.

But Chausson wasn’t the only Volvo/Cannondale rider who took a podium spot in Durango. Teammate Cedric Gracia nabbed third place in the Men’s Dual race, and the cross-country boys also grabbed medals.
Two flat tires within the first ten minutes of racing kept Christoph Sauser, who won the cross-country event in Vancouver, from finishing. That left New Zealander Kashi Leuchs and Australian Cadel Evans still on the course. On his way to finishing second overall, Leuchs passed his Evans in the final stretch. Evans, hobbled by a flat in the final two kilometers, powered through his misfortune for third place.

SOURCE: Cannondale
