My wife has just taken the kids away for 2 weeks for some of the school holidays. She has taken my V50 and has just rung to say the rear passenger footwell (behind the driver on a RHD car) is full of water (about an inch she quotes)
The water appears to be clean and clear.
The weather here is hot and humid 28 degrees. It has not rained for ages so is not coming in from outside.
She drove 300 miles. I can only assume it is drainage from the Climate control, which she had on the whole journey.
I had noticed it was wet recently but thought one of the kids had spilt some water! i have only driven short journeys so may not have built up enough and the hot weather will have evaporated most of it.
Anybody have any idea how this can happen? And only in one footwell? All the others are dry.
The car is still under warranty but I do not want to disrupt her holiday and send her to the nearest Volvo dealer, if I can get a slot before she is due to come home.
Help appreciated

Re: water in footwell! Urgent help wanted (geegee)

You're on the right track here. It's either a cloged or disconnected a/c drain hose. check out these old posts with the same problem.
Post1
Post2

same here. the problem is with the A/C system. the drain hose gets disconnected and the waste water drains out of the foot vents under the passenger seat. mine was a freaken mess.! dealer fixed it last summer and no problem since.

Re: (volvos40t5)

Actually, that is the new rear seat bubbling water foot spa option.....now you just have to find the "ON" button.

Re: (5Pillars)

Thanks for the advice guys - alas it was not the foot spa option as I hoped!!
Dealer fixed the aircon drain and wet vacced the carpet. If it is damaged I will get a new one but won't know until the wife returns with the car in a week.
