Water accumulation in headlight

I noticed condensation in the passenger side headlight a while ago (2010 s40 Rdesign w adaptive headlights). Not life or death but it drives me nuts seeing it.

That was almost a year ago and the condensation got much worse. First thing I noticed was the light bar stopped working about a week ago and yesterday the low beam failure light came on. I pulled the headlight out and there was actually water inside of it.... enough to fill up like two shot glasses. I've attached pictures of the seals around the edge. They look way too choppy to be from the factory.

Had anyone else had this issue? Condensation is one thing... but accumulated water? I'm assuming that lead to the premature bulb failure. Another thing I'm wondering is why does volvo charge 160 for one bulb? That's an insane mark up for a headlight bulb and I will not be forking over anymore money to them anyways. Just wondering if there is any specific reason they would charge so much.

I actually told the dealership about it when my warranty was still active during my last service there. Without hesitation they said the CPO warranty doesn't cover glass. I explained that there is a slim chance the glass is the issue and it's more than likely the seal.... so he said they would "take a look at it". Picked it up and he said they couldn't see anything wrong with it but they could Leak test it which I'd have to pay for. Opted not to back then... but the condensation was coincidentally gone when I picked up the car. I'm assuming they dried it out but I still feel that should have been covered under warranty.... I had less than 60k on the car at the time.

Not sure how to help with water as its obviously a leak due to a problem with seal or something, but for condensation you can do a little trick and attach a small bag of desicant to the back cover of headlamp (so it stays inside) to gather the moisture from inside. Like the small bags that keep the peanuts dry or computer components (that always have DO NOT EAT warnings on ;). May help a bit but obviously you need to find the cure for leak itself.
ps - my seals dont really look much better, I think those are just factory overspills, but maybe someone already tried to split the lamp to clean it?

That's what I was thinking the dealership did... despite them telling me they would only take a look at it and see if anything looks inadequate. I don't see why they would do that though instead of just putting the warranty claim in to volvo. I mean like I said... condensation is one thing but pooling water is something I've never had happen. It has to be on top somewhere obviously or the water wouldn't get in... unless over time the condensation just gets so bad that it pools up. I let it sit opened up in my house overnight. That should get rid of the moisture for now. I have heard of the silica packets also. I will definitely be giving that a go after the leak is taken care of.

Thank you. That will come in handy when it gets warmer and I paint the headlight housings. Any ideas on the light bar between the high/low beam? Dealership had no part number on a bulb for it and I havent found a deconstructed diagram or photo of the headlight.
