She who must be obeyed told me the windshield washers dont work, but the headlight washers do. A quick check under the hood confirmed that the check valve T connector grenaded itself. Fortunately at 9PM I had a spare - one from a 944 turned track rat. She never questioned why I packed old parts away, and today it paid off. i was surprised it fit, and where porsche uses fancy clamps to hold it on, volvo doesnt use a clamp. is that why porsches cost more than volvos? :D

So, i replaced a grenaded volvo part with a porsche part that is known to fail on a regular basis.

I looked up the part at Tasca and the diagram shows everything but the check valve. Does anyone know the part number so i can put it on my list for the next order?

It usually fails over time because of the poor quality brittle plastic used - even if you have low-temperature washer fluid in it.

My friend's 2007 V8 sport had it fail while she was driving it in Colorado, mine failed about 2 months afterwards in the same manner.

Good thing is, they're cheap.

Thanks. i searched "washer fluid check" and this came up http://www.fcpeuro.com/products/volvo-windshield-washer-fluid-t-connector-s70-v70-9178895oe you put me on the path to the part. i may break down and just walk into the dealer on saturday and buy one to keep in the glove compartment if it isnt much more than $10. That will ensure that i have the only porsche check valve that doesnt fail! Or maybe i will put it on my list for my next rmeuropean.com purchase http://www.rmeuropean.com/Part-Numb...d-Washers-(3-Way)-__9178895_MTC_CB4144DE.aspx and buy it for 2.48! now to price the cooling overhaul for the M.

Or pay a few cents more and buy the aftermarket at fcp http://www.fcpeuro.com/products/volvo-windshield-washer-fluid-t-connector-s70-v70-9178895
