I just had my S40 in for its 7500 mile service and notice my warranty expires in July of 2009. I picked up the car in September and received U.S. delivery in late October. Why does the warranty start in July?

I just wanted to know about other OSDers before I went back to the dealer to ask (since I now have a premonition that the car will fall apart in August of 2009).

Bob,

The warranty expiration date is one of the fields on the invoice, along with VIN, make, license and the like. One of the fields is "in service date" which is 4 years prior to the warranty expiration date. This must be when the car was built. If so, are we all getting gipped out of a couple of months of warranty?
