Withstanding JRL's negativity, still looking for a saffron C70 convertible. I'm sure someone has imported one from the Europe in the last 10 years.

Also, it's not impossible to swap a manual if you get lucky enough to find it in auto.

IF they were made in Europe (I'm not sure they were as I've NEVER seen a picture of one, I doubt that anyone has imported one.
Not a cheap propsition, it would have been cheaper to just paint any 99 Saffron
at that or any time

Based on my web search, in europe and especially the UK there are manual 1998 to 2001 Saffron c70 convertibles for sale. So, I know they exist, even if they are right hand drive.

As is always the case with Volvo, folks in the US don't get to share in the bounty of worldwide product availability.

Saffron was a one (1) year color for the world (98 only) and as i said, it does not exist (at least in the US, it doesn't)
I'm serious, buy a black one and paint it if you want a Saff so badly.

They had Saffron in 99 on the V70r's.

There were some 1998 model year C70 convertibles in the US market, I talked to a Volvo corporate representative at a dealer host event about their existence after seeing some listed for sale used. He confirmed indeed there were 1998 model year C70 convertibles but cautioned me to stay far way as the build quality was abysmal.
