Been loosely searching for a 122S for awhile to add to the family fleet and hadn't found anything north of the border to even consider (because of the rust on all of them) until just recently. Consequently I have yet to do full research on the pitfalls - but I'm going to look at one on Monday............ anybody got specific items to watch for bodywise? Mechanicals aren't a big issue, but I'm no body guy and know how expensive it can be.............

Thanks for ANY hints!

Cheers,

David

PS - family fleet: '65 544 - dad got new and still has:p:D, '98 V70 AWD 5 speed - dad got off my sister:p:p, '98 R - my modded toy:p:p:p, '94 850 NA 5 speed daily driver:rolleyes:

Go around the car with a magnet. I'm sure you probably already knew that, lol.

Check the fender wells, spare tire area, trunk corners, bottom of the doors, battery tray, rear floor pans (they are lower than the front). Just the usual rusty places in classic cars. IMHO, rust isn't as bad as incorrectly repaired rust.

BTW, head over to the 122 forum. You should get more attention there.
