The Passat is one hell of an ugly car. The only things uglier (in the VW lineup) are the Passat Wagon and the Eurovan.
I know that style and looks are appreciated in a asubjective manner but to put the Passat in the same "league" as the G35 and the 5-series...I think that is heresy!
Yannis

First Im not putting any in any league, because all of the cars are different, they all serve a different purpose. I like all of the cars I mentioned, Repeat what I like, When I went shopping for a car I looked at all these cars ecept for the G35 since it was not out at the time. I chose the Volvo S60 for the value. I bought my car in Puerto Rico and it was 48K for a T5. 530i was 65K, audi A6 2.7t 66K, passat v6 4motion 44k, Saab 95 Aero 51K( I forgot to metion that I like the Saab 95 I think I will buy one for my secound car) The Passat is a VW, if you dont come from a VW world you would think the car is ugly. I dont! I have been driving VW's since 1986. I think the car is very nice and the 1.8t is well worth the money, much more of a value than a S40(which I owned prior to my s60) Most Volvo's are boring, most keep their Volvo's boring, The aftermarket is slim and very expensive but thats another story. Dont get me wrong I love my car, I have always love Volvo's. From experience most that drive them only see the value in them only. My friend the world is bigger than Volvo. Repeat none of the cars I mentioned are in the same class, they all have their purpose, and I like each of them.
