I was just looking through the Volvo International Website and found this! It is the Volvo V70 2.4T AWD. Since when did Volvo start producing a 2nd generation V70 2.4T AWD non XC? I have never seen this before! It comes with 3 different transmission choices as well, a five-speed manual, five-speed adaptive automatic, or five-speed adaptive Geartronic. I wonder if and when they are going to bring this to the United States? I think that it would sell pretty good actually, for those who just need AWD and not the extra's of the V70 XC.
In the all-wheel drive Volvo V70 AWD, the power is distributed between the wheels as circumstances require. If you accelerate or corner so that the rear wheels have a better grip than the front ones, more power goes to the rear wheels. The result is outstanding stability and road-holding on all surfaces. Getting started and getting around in slippery conditions present no difficulty. Volvo's TRACS anti-spin system makes sure that the wheel with the best grip gets the most power. The engine is a 200-bhp turbo with high torque and good low-rev response.
