I've heard of this full synthetic oil named Royal Purple sometime ago, and was wondering if anyone here has ever tried it?<p>The guy at the performance shop I went to Swore by it, but how good could this stuff be? (Thinking the guy behind the counter is getting a kick back..) <p>The S70 T5 is due for servicing soon and I never tried a FULL synthetic motor oil- Also thinking of doing tranny oil too whyle i'm at it. <p>Any input is welcomed.<p><br>Mr.Deeds <IMG NAME="icon" SRC="http://www.vwvortex.com/vwbb/wink.gif" BORDER="0">

It won't hurt to use it, and probably will have some small benefit. BoostedS60R, IIRC, uses Royal Purple, and if his engine didn't uncover any problems with the product, yours likely won't either. Most folks here recommend going synthetic for the turbo engines, whether it be Mobil 1, German Castrol, or more exotic flavors.

Your car won't run any better on Royal Purple or Penzoil Platinum fully synthetic.<p>Save some money and get PP at Wally World versus RP.<p>Turbos really should have the benefits of a synthetic oil.

If you want a group 4 synthetic get the Castrol Syntec 0w30 it is the most affordable group 4 out there.this only applies to the castrol syntec 0w30 the other weights are not a group 4.Never tried RP I use Amsoil 0w30 FWIW RP is supposed to be very good oil though
