I read from a car magazine.

Apparently Volvo will bring one EV to market.

Hopefully it will be S100:cool:

Now that would be awesome.

Also another goal is making EVs 10% of sales.

Very ambitious of Volvo but i am confident they will achieve this.

Pure EV will still be more expensive than PHEV and hybrid for any manufacture, while much more hassle, if possible at all, for long trip.
Only with heavy subsidy from government it could become attractive to me.

And S100 EV is not as practical as S60 EV. :)

Why would EV cost more than ICE??

I mean it's a lot easier and quicker to manufacture.

Of course battery is expensive but then you only need an electric motor and AC basically.

Unbelievable weight savings.

Battery not easier to manufacture. It is way too more expensive than making an engine. There is a lot precious metal material in battery that is hard to mine and refine. The cheap EV Nissan Leaf, is still more expensive then compact cars, Nissan Sentra for example.
