Volvo S90 Active grill shutter issue

Hi guys,

Had Active grill shutter motor failure. After replacing motor with brand new grill is working, open when car is started and closed when engine is switch off. But Still getting fault code. I looked inside Vida 2014 as my old S60 2013 had grill to and found that there is calibration page. Could this code generated due missing calibration for AGM unit?

ECM-U132087 Active grill shutter module AGM. Bus Signal / Message Failures. Missing message.

Yes, the motor needs calibration with VIDA.

Had a chat with guy from Volvo today and he told me that motor is plug and play no calibration required. I’m confused now.

Next week car going for global update so i’ll try my luck to push idea that they try to calibrate

I know from personal experience calibration is necessary. Technically, he is correct, that the motor is plug-and-play. But calibration is the only way to make the DTC stop occurring.
