I am interested in purchasing lowering springs for my sedan and have found wagon springs. If I purchase wagon springs, are they the same as the sedan springs? The B&G part number is slightly different for 98-00 sedan vs 97-00 wagon.

different spring rate on rears with H&R springs, wagon or sedan springs fit either sedans or wagons but the rear springs are different stiffnesses. every other reputable spring manufacture uses the same springs for both applications to my knowledge.

All will fit, but wagon rear spring rates are a HAIR stiffer to compensate for the added weight in the rear.

Re: Volvo S70 vs V70 springs (JRL)

so still slightly on topic then... if i were to order the wagon springs rather than the sedan would it level out the car? because most stock ones look a little ducked in the rear with stock springs i was thinking that if it were to lower the car equally with the springs then it migth still preserve the slightly duck look. basically would wagon springs keep the car move level?

Re: (Chilled Man)

chilled im sure you know the answer to my question. I feel that volvo always seems a smidge higher in the front than the rear. Would wagon springs (if JRL says the rate in the rear is a tiny bit stiffer) level out the car better than the typical sedan springs?

The wheel wells are shaped differently causing the rear to always look lower than the front

If you install Bilsteins in the rear it will raise it a bit, (1/2" or so).
If you install OEM or Koni struts in the front then it should stay that way

okay i think i got it now. i think im going to go with bilstein touring with some springs. i might have a set of eibach ones around at the ladys house that i could slap on it. in all honesty i wouldnt mind if the back was up a little more because maybe it will fix the optical illusion but hopefully it doesnt give me some redic "race stance" look

No you DON'T "get it"
The springs must be STOCK, then with Bilsteins the rear will raise up a bit

Re: Volvo S70 vs V70 springs (JRL)

I have Bilsteins TC with stock springs. I think my car sits level (judging by side skirts, not by wells ) but I think it sits way to high. i'll try to snap a picture and post here.
So I'm finally thinking about springs too but I want to keep the car level..
