Hi
I have a new volvo s60 D2 which has a 215/50/17 summer tire. Now I want to buy winter tire that is nokian brand. I have searched al log time to choose true winter tire and finally I decided to buy Nokian D4 Winter Tire but Nokian is not production 215/50/17 tire size of nokian d4. So I have to buy different tire size which are 205/50/17 or 225/45/17. Which tire do selected ? Thanks for helping.

As a general rule, a "taller" winter tire will perform better on snowy/wet roads, so I would go with the 205/50 size. The speedometer reading will be slightly off (smaller tire = more revs/mile = higher indicated speed), but should be within 2-3 %.
