Volvo S60 Speakers Replacement

Hello,
the car is a Volvo S60, 2005 with a 2.5 engine and 140 horsepower.
It is equipped with a HU-403 radio, which aside from the radio signal and cassette, gives me absolutely no other options for playing music. For this reason I use a transmitter.

The sound quality is unpleasant, especially on songs where there is more bass. There are vibrations in all the speakers that make listening to certain songs simply impossible.

To improve the overall situation, I am considering doing a few things as follows:

- I will add the WEFA digital changer to the factory audio system - Wefa WF-606 USB, AUX, Bluetooth адаптер для VOLVO which allows me to listen to music as via AUX , as well as via Bluetooth.

- I am considering replacing the factory front and rear door speakers with aftermarket ones as follows:
*Front doors - https://www.audiotec-fischer.de/en/helix/speakers/l-62c.2
*Rear doors - HELIX PF C165.2

- I am planning to install 11mm sound insulation on the 4 doors.

I have a question here. Given that I don't plan to install an amplifier, is it worth replacing the factory speakers, or is it better to install only the digital changer first and try it, and if I don't get the desired effect, then think about new speakers?

Thanks!

New speakers are worth it anyways.
We installed new aftermarket speakers in brother's V70 which has no amp and sound seems better/more clear than my HU850 with 200w amp. But he has serious aftermarket head unit.

And did you install soundproofing? What is your opinion if so?
No, no soundproofing yet. I have been thinking doing it on my car, but since its already heavier than standart V70, adding any extra weight makes me think whether I really want it 😁

I'm not so much concerned about the weight gain of the car, but rather a few other things I came across online, namely:
  • It is possible for the insulation to block drainage channels, causing water to flow into the car.
  • In warm weather, if the insulation is not of sufficient quality, it may leak.
  • If insulation is put on the doors, because of the additional weight in them, over time they sag.
Any idea if any of these are true?
Well there is possibilty of blocking drainage channels if insulation is literally put over drain holes in doors.
Havent heard about sagging doors because of insulation.
Hi. I have sound proof my S60 and replaced the speakers. Kept the stock PA-300 amplifier from the Premium sound. Used Audison speakers instead of the oem ones and kept the stock braket for them. And soundproof de external and middle door frame.
