I'm happy to share my project with you that I’ve been working on for a little while now. I love my V50 but what I always missed was a proper media/navigation system as well as some more information when it comes to the engine, temperatures etc. There are quiet some resources out there, each tackling their own topic but nothing that combines everything. So it was quiet clear what I had in mind: I wanted to keep the stock OEM RTI look, run Apple Carplay, display CAN data and all of that in a reliable tidy package that is easily removable.
So I went out and got myself a complete RTI unit from a donor and got to work. The result I like to show here:

The app runs natively on a Raspberry Pi with Raspian so you don’t need to install some android software that limits the capabilities of the Raspi. It supports Apple CarPlay/Android Auto an features a dashboard interface with some gauges for CAN data.
I set up a repository on github where you can find the full source code as well as the links to all the resources and information that you need to make the mod. In the repo you will also find more pictures as well as a little demo gif at the end of the readme.
