I have an '18 P* and tried calling On Call the other week. Pushed the button in the overhead console and no reply. Tried 2x
Gave up and called local dealer for the number. I did not download the app yet.

Anyway, I find out the telematics (or TEM) as Volvo Customer Care called it has to be awakened periodically.

He was unable to provide a time interval when it needs awakening. I arranged a service appointment and the advisor knew all about that and concurred w what I was told.

Anyone know more about this or have had this happen? What if you need On Call and it's asleep?

Yes it just happened to me!

Press the SoS button and when it is answered explain to the person answering that it is a test call. Once the call is completed try your “on call” button and it should work.

It will need a TEM Software Reload to obtain a new Certificate. Then should operate.
