I'd say give it a few days and see if the warning msg persists. I know someone else with a brand new v90 had this as well and i think they said it was the battery as you mentioned.

Kind of weird. In the 20 months that I've owned my car, I've never seen that one appear. Had SRS Airbag Urgent. Needed a Software Flash / Update. And my Backup Camera issue.....But this was certainly a "New One"...

Ya, I'll give it a "Fluke" as it has appeared once for about 10-20 seconds then went off.....if it comes on again, I'll have dealer check module + Battery others mentioned here.

But seriously, saw it yesterday for a about 10-20 secs. Hadn't started car in a few days. Then went away. Haven't seen again. Just strange as that message has never appeared for me before. If it comes back I'm guessing the Volvo On Call Module Battery problem others have mentioned in earlier threads?
