R Crew,
I have been looking at some of the products that Volvo Motor Sports offers and I am interested in any reviews that the anyone forum has to give. I found little info on them through the search section. Any help please and thanks.

Simpley VMS is only there to steal your money and nothing else , you can deal with more of a theif then that company and also dont buy anything else since I Dont think he has any family left to die , so he might start killing off other people that he knows as an excuse.

Wow, reading through that thread on volvospeed is freaking crazy what that fella is doing.

I would contact the IRS because I doubt he's paying taxes on the money he's stealing. And they do not like it when you don't pay your taxes. 99% conviction rate last I was told by a fraud agent.

Second, I would contact the hosting company to alert them he is using his site to commit fraud and by them letting him do so from here on, they could be liable for aiding him.

Local Police might not respond if only one person calls about being ripped off but if a bunch of the people scammed call the Sheriff and send them the info, they might make an arrest.

His website gives an address to mail checks but its different that the site registration address. Interesting. I may forward this to someone in Federal Law enforcement I know. Would just be interesting to find out more on this fella.

Also those ripped off should call and complain to Volvo of North America because he is using their name as his company, they must be affiliated. And see if Volvo doesn't get his site removed rather quickly.

This is amazing. I read through the whole post and am shocked by what I read. Oceans60R seems to be correct. I wonder how he stays in business with all of this.

On the other hand, does anyone know how to get some of the types of parts that VMS offers? Connecting rods and pistons, throttle bodies?I would love to get a GT3076R kit for the R.

Pistons-
Same companys or use your stock ones there perfectly fine.
or use the same guys that build the rods

Turbo-
Garret get custom manifold made

Throttal body-
waste unless you port and polish your head and do ass load of other work

There are reams and reams of constructive criticism here, but unfortunately, only when someone uses the Volvo name improperly do we see involvment from the company we represent with pride (shaken pride, but still).

Fair enough. However, I for one would really appreciate a voice from VCNA as an active part of many of the discussions that take place here. I'm sure there are plenty of reasons why VNCA does not participate (I'm not a lawyer, but understand that there may be all kinds of legal liability involved when commenting), and wouldn't expect to the company to comment on the more contentious or combative discussions. That said, as I'm sure you know, there are plenty of non-combative technical/non-technical discussions that take place as well all of which involve folks that are passionate about your product.

Would be great to have some VCNA participation in a way similar to what IPD and other vendors do on this board. For example, I find the "Ask IPD" portion of this forum very informative, and appreciate their time. I understanding this is a marketing tool for them, but it works. It tends to make one feel like you have a "friend in the business" and builds customer relationships that last.

Not criticism, just my $0.02.

Chris, first on the list is the angle gear problems we have all had or will have out of warranty. Have you been following that thread? At a minimum, would be nice to have VCNA to at least state that they will look into it.

I think the "ask VCNA" thread would be FABULOUS, as long as it was not a bitch session. Surprisingly, I believe SS to be pretty darn "educated" and self-editing, so that I believe this sort of thread would be a HUGE WIN-WIN for VOLVO and us, your pretty loyal R advocates and car enthusiasts.

I think you will be opening up a real can of worms for yourself, VCNA is not on everyone's favorite list and it WILL wind up to be a "bitch" session.

Volvo (not necessarily VCNA) has dropped the ball on so may issues you will be inundated;

Here are a few to start with:

Failed ABS modules on every single car from 1996-2001
Failed transmissions from Volvo's policy of not changing fluid (and especially the stop neutral fiasco from the 2001's), 60-75% of ALL tranmissions have failed!
Failed. (rusted out) AC Evaporators, a poor design 1994 thru 2000, C70-1998 -2004.

Why there hasn't been a class action lawsuit on any or all of these is beyond me and... the Volvo part price of an ABS module PRICED UP to over $1000 is just plain OBCENE.

Unfortunately there are many (most) Volvo owners that are not aware that they can be rebuilt for $120 or so and work BETTER than the original!
VCNA should hang their head in shame on this one
