First you have to join here: http://www.volvocars.us/tools/OwnersInfo/
Next you have to find the page for the High Mileage Club.
Next you have to send them an email.
Next, they send you a form to fill out.
Next you send the form back in.
Last of all...several months later they send you a butt ugly badge that you won't be able to find a suitable place for....at least that was my experience.

SPB....
The 200k badge is blue...vs the 100k which is red. Depending on your taste...I don't think it looks bad!
Follow the instuctions from MadeinJapan....shouldn't take anymore than a few weeks.
Here's what it will look like.

Re: Volvo High Mileage Club (universityvolvoOSD)

Bob did they stop taking PHONE calls for these at ROCKLEIGH in NJ? Got both mine (RED 100,000) in two weeks over the phone (908 area code i think) in ten mins. That was around XMAS or NY'rs. Got 50,000 more and teh 744 hits 200,000. So would like to know if MadeinJapans posted protracted route is a NEW thing I will have to deal with then? BTW Bob mine both (744/965) are in the same (left thou) area as yours (244) too. Butt ugly? and No Place?

Re: Volvo High Mileage Club (Nato740)

Nato740...
I have always got mine (and my customers) via the mail-in application. I used to have a supply, but seem to be out. I should try to reorder some...just to have as a convenience.
I said butt ugly because I have an metalic green volvo...really almost a hunter green and the blue 100K emblem just doesn't go with my colors. I tried it in several places and it just looked ugly. It's in my glove box now. In regards to my experience trying to get my badge, it literally took months and it was quite a hassle.

But you might have a point. I might have gotten two forms form them in a few days to a business week after I called and then filled them out. But months of waiting was not what I recall as a time frame. I sent them back right away and DID NOT sit on them maybe like might have been the case with a few months waiters. And got them after I returned them in 10-14 business days form time they got them. AGAIN if I sent them back and they got them in a few days I still am not willing to think it was ever a few months like is suggested. I am more inclinded to go with a month plus a day or so form start to finish on the car. How long did it take for yours Bob?

It jsut is not up to the scheme of things on your HUNTER GREEN car I take it. Sadley that is not the badges fault. As I would think a RED one would look bazzar on a BROWN car. I happen to like the RED ones that are on both the WINE 744 and the BRIGHT RED 965. And I should think the BLUE ones will not be too bad when I get them for them either. Think of it this way It is a BADGE OF HONOR not a fashion statement. You wish a color palet better suited to Hunter green, get a custom NON VOLVO one made. Then you can look look like those that slap on those BUTT UGLY OVAL WHITE country SIGNS that say SWD or SWN or SWED.

I think I'll wait until the 200K mark to put a badge on my Volvo....100K miles isn't much on these anyway (to me, not much honor). Plus the color is much cooler on the higher mileage badges. I'll pass on getting something made or using the OVAL signs.
