If I wasn't swamped with projects, I would make it down this weekend. I hear this is a great location for a meet!

Not to worry, I am working on plans for a Dallas meet/mini meet for October so keep your eyes peeled for details!

Nice pics, Ted - thanks!...

Rolled in late and took just one pic of my Volvaru...

Good to see some new faces and old friends from way back.

I spotted the early departers as we passed on Zimmerscheidt Road or FM 109 - white 242GT, yellow 142, blue 244, black S60R - sorry we missed but look forward to seeing y'all at the next Meet.

Thanks to the Nils Nilssons for hosting this super GTG - the thermometer showed 94F - ten degrees cooler than out on the highway.

Once again George and Jackie McDonald put on a fine feed and Nils brought out his stable of Volvo Classics. Although a retired Volvo tech he does not do customer restorations but instead enjoys many hours on the chain saw keeping his southeast Texas Piney Woods Paradise looking good.

Viewing Ted's slideshow may leave the impression that this "crowd" of Texas Volvo Lovers includes a bunch of old folks. True, but at any moment now younger Volvo Lovers will step forward and start scheduling, organizing and hosting Volvo Car Meets in Texas.
