I was told my order would be honored if I chose to select an Executive S80, but the August delivery is off, and the soonest possible FDC pickup would be OCTOBER.
Don't think AUDI would do this to me, but FORD has done it to me in the past with an order for a Super Coupe Thunderbird. Don't know how I will go with this news, as I was really enthused for this AE version, my very first Volvo ever. Maybe my only one, but never delivered...... Rick

Rick,
as I have written to you in our private exchange, try to look at the positives ofthe alternative solution that Volvo offered you. I understand your disappointment, I would have felt the same. But I found out that honesty is the best policy. Isn't it better this way rather than you not having received a car that was up to par? Then you would be living with an ongoing problem and you be even angrier! As I have already let you know, the Executive is a much better car especially if they are offering you one for the same price you were going to pay for the AE. Plus the extra 2" of leg room in the rear and the extra wide opening of the rear doors. And resale value shoud be better for an Executive than an AE.
Afterall, it is not like Volvo cancelled your order in order to make room for someone else!
Hope you stay with Volvo and take them up on the offer for the 2003 Executive!
Regards,
Yannis
