First time poster and new member. My apologies if posting in the wrong section of the forum.

Anyone regret their Volvo purchase?
Debating between a 2020 Volvo XC90 (CPO) with 27k miles or a 2020 Acura MDX (CPO) with 18 k miles.

First car was a 2000 Volvo S70. It was safe, overall reliable, and enjoyable, but it’s been a while.

Love the safety and looks of the car but am nervous about the reliability and maintenance/repair costs.

We have two little ones and one could use the integrated booster of the XC90.

I am in SoCal and could use Rusnak, Ontario, OC (Santa Ana), or Penske (Walnut/Industry) for service.

Any thoughts are appreciated. I realize a Volvo owners forum might be self selection bias but any input is appreciated.
Thanks!

You can’t get better than CPO coverage. 2020 has the face lift and faster sensus screen. So you should be good to go.

Question from curiosity, is the 2020 sensus screen better than 2019? My lease is about to end, and trying to make a decision whether to keep the car or upgrade to CPO
I don’t believe so. I own a 2017 and 2021, and used to own a 2020. No real difference between 2020 and 2021 at least.

The screen/hardware upgrade happened for the MY19 model year, so no difference there. The 2020 got the mild refresh for the front grill.

Both are fine cars. Neither should have lots of problems by any means, but an Acura is going to always be less work than a Volvo. IMO a Volvo is a far more interesting car to own. Whitherever you like best is probably the way to go.

All Volvos are wonderful vehicles.
Do a search of this forum and I'm sure you'll find countless examples of this.

Anyone who claims otherwise is a bold-faced liar and will be dealt with by the mods of this forum accordingly!

I bought mine new from Rusnak in Pasadena. This was back in 2016. v60 is now reaching 90K and trouble free with regular maintenance.

Extended warranty costs $1500 for an 5 extra years (beyond the 1 year provided for CPO cars).

Peace of mind if you are worried
