Today I completed a Total CAN update on my 2014 XC70 with out any issues. After that download was complete, I decided to do the IAM upgrade which would allow me to update the maps within the car by USB at a later date. About 30 minutes into the installation, I looked at the laptop, and realized that the IAM upgrade had failed. When I started the car, the Sensus screen was dark. After looking at VIDA again, I could see that the ICM is completely offline. I tried doing a ICM reload, but it also prompts me to use a Volvo approved USB. Does anyone live in the Triad area of North Carolina have a Volvo approved USB that they would be willing to let me borrow or rent? Without it, I'm forced to go to the dealership.

There are changes you can make to the configuration files to allow you to use any USB key as long as it's large enough.

Thanks @inteller. How can that be done with a paid 3-day subscription to VIDA 2015?

You close Vida then go edit the requisite configuration file to allow any USB.

I am in the same situation, VIDA online is asking for a Volvo Approved USB during a software upgrade on my P3 - 2015.5 XC60.
@inteller any additional guidance on the workaround?
