I can speak from personal experience Vinyl wrapping is expensive and vinyl is hard to work with. Plasti-diping is the way to go since you can easily remove it after you get bored. Go crazy, its like 5 bucks a can

Dipyourcar.com has full kits to dip a car. Comes with couple gallons of dip, tape, and a Wagner sprayer. Watched a 30 min vid he did on his car. Works really well and lasts, he took a 1800psi power washer in anothe vid to dipped parts and helps up fine. Lots of colors too

Do enough coats, and Plastidip will hold up to a bombing. I plastidipped my grille and letters. The letters have held up to everything and I only had to repaint the grille once after hitting a prehistoric bug (looked like it was from raiders of the lost ark) that embedded itself into the grille and chipped the paint when I washed him off.

Check the R forum for some examples of Plasti-dipped wheels. They seem to hold up okay. The only thing I've heard is that they're a magnet for brake dust and a bit more delicate to clean.

I did my wheels and grill over the Thanksgiving holiday and they still look great. I have new tires installed, been through touch free car wash more times than I prefer and the it has held up just fine.

Not the best picture but all I had on my phone right now.

Go for it!

Black on black with the face-lifted cars looks damm good, not sure how it would look on my sagitta's though. Has anybody plasti-diped stock wheels on a 05-07?
