Hey folks,

I recently got a VXDIAG unit but it only came with Chinese language packs (I don't know how to read Chinese). I got it running on a win7 VM, but also thought i had it working on an english version of VIDA from here: https://forums.swedespeed.com/showthread.php?481385-VIDA-Dice-2014D-VM-Image-Download-Link

However, when I connect to the car I'm getting very different results.
Both are able to read the info from the car just fine, but the faults reported are very different (this was to help diagnose an "ANTI-SKID SERVICE REQUIRED" warning)

Chinese Version:

English Version:

I'm new to VIDA, but any thoughts on which one to trust (if either)?

This is on a 2006 V70R automatic in USA if that helps.

Youre not on the same tab in those from the looks of it. The English is in the first tab and the Chinese is on the 3rd?

You are entirely right roxanaschram; i'm still learning the nuances of the software and didn't realize what the tabs are for.
Also, THANK YOU! Your VMs are what i started with, and just got the english version working with the VXDIAG cable.

Now i need to learn how to use the software better, but it looks like my DEM might have failed since i can never get it to communicate (though BCM and CEM are throwing DTCs).

If anyone needs a win7 VM for VXDIAG i'm happy to share.

just to close the loop here...

Fuses weren't blown, but was able to confirm that my DEM failed via the VXDiag / VIDA combo. Dealer replaced the DEM and sure enough, all is well now :)

Hey just thought i put my 2 cents in as i got nano version. was having heck of time getting it to work even had support messed up. even built win7 64 vm to install their software complete i could see it but windows didn't know what to do with it.
Anyway long story short.. do search for VX Manager 1.6.2.0902 this has all the drivers even the VM image can see it after installed.
Worked for me worth a try

Does VX Manager get installed on the VM or your main machine? I ordered a nano from amazon like 2 days ago now I'm just waiting for it. I downloaded a VM from https://forums.swedespeed.com/showthread.php?481385-VIDA-Dice-2014D-VM-Image-Download-Link pre made and just want to get everything ready when it comes and maybe trouble shoot if it doesnt work.
