I'm using @roxanaschram 's VIDA virtual machine setup on my mac using VMWare Fusion (https://volvodiag.com/vmware-image/). Everything installs correctly and I am able to get to the login screen just fine, but when I try using any of the usernames (admin, 1, 2, 3 etc), It attempts to log in and then loops me back to the login screen. In the URL bar, the url changes to http://localhost/Vida/PreLogin.do. I've seen this in several other posts but none appear to have been on a virtual machine. Can someone help me out on this? Am I supposed to run one of the patches? If so, how do I do that?

I was using VirtualBox just fine before but updated to BigSur and VirtualBox no longer worked.

Appreciate the help!

Running the same setup (Mac Big Sur, Fusion Pro 12.1) with no issues. You're leaving the password blank? Clicking login vs just hitting enter?

No, the patches and others files are for installing on win10, the vm image is good to go as it. Did you try a different browser in your vm?

This this patch. When I created the Windows 7 version of the VM, I never expected us not to have a newer program to use so it expired out.

Thanks RS. Worked for me. Others using this patch should note what may be obvious to some... You need to run the patch from within your virtual machine I believe. After downloading the PATCH copy it to your virtual (32bit, Win7) desktop, right click the patch icon and RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR. Reboot the vIrtual machine. Relaunch VIDA from within the virtual machine and that should do it. No more start-up loop.
