Attached to the moonroof , on each side, are accordian like pieces of plastic. They have no real purpose, that I know of, except maybe to hide the mechanics of the moonroof. Anyway, I've had problems with one popping off, frequently. Friday, I had the moonroof all the way open. Not knowing it had popped off again, when I closed the window it cracked/bent it, so I ended up ripping it off to close the window.
Then, I hear the seat-belt tensioner rattling in my ear from the b-pillar,
and my window rattling when it's in any position than all the way up or down,
and the squeaks from the front end when hitting bumps, and the rattling moonroof cover when it's back to let light into the car.....and I start getting pissed.
I have a love hate relationship with my car. It looks great, I enjoy driving it, but these little annoyances bum me out.......Just venting, thanks
I find that if you leave about half an inch of gap from the fully opened position the rattling goes away most of the time.

Seat-belt tensioner is rattling for me all the time now too, I guess I'll get in there this weekend and try to figure out the problem.
As for the moonroof, I have a whole other issue! When you're on the highway try holding down the plastic shroud thing (looks like the top of a castle you would draw as a kid) and there's almost absolutely no wind noise, but let it up and there's a ton!
I think maybe it's just that my seat is all the way back but I've never experienced so much wind noise in a car in my life.

I ended up removing it from my car. The wind noise is gone but I still experience the air pressure in the car pulsating at different speeds when I have the windows up and the sunroof open. To avoid this I have to either open one of the windows or not open the sunroof all the way.

Some days I love my car, other days it seems like I notice all the bad things(rattles, creaks, vibrations, etc.) amplified 10x and I hate it. I guess that's how it would be with most cars though.

I rode in the back seat of my own car for the first time over the weekend... and after an hour and a half of hearing that rattling.. I was about to go postal on the b-Pillar.

I've got the rattling in the B Pillar as well. Another thing that's starting to bug me even more now is the deafening tone/ ungodly noise from the brakes in reverse that's been discussed here and has been deemed unfixable. It seems to be getting worse, it used to be maybe once every week or two, now it's probably once a day!

This is supposed to fix the leaking windows (water is able to go over the top of the windows) and the rattling windows when they are cracked. 5 hours later I get a call that it will take 4-6 hours LONGER to do the whole bulletin. They need the car a full day to do it.....I say, uh, no thanks. (I live 1.5 hours away and couldn't waste another day coming back to pick it up)
I also complained about the 'groaning' noise from the steering when I turn in and out of parking spaces, my garage, etc and squeeky front end when hitting bumps, both issues I've complained about since the 15,000 mile service) They lubricated the upper control arm and that fixed neither issue.
They also didn't have the baffel for the moonroof, had to order it.
To top it off, I got an f-ing Buick as a loaner. Oh, no, wait, to top it off they didn't reset the service reminder (I know, I can do it manually)
So, after 5 hours with my car I got an oil change and a car wash and I still have to go back, waste another day to get windows fixed and to convince them the groaning noise isn't normal steering pump noise (it isn't a high pitched whine, like a motor, it's a groaning, rusty hinge like noise)

I had gotten used to it until recently. Either way, thanks for the notice.
