Hey everyone, I went to the LA auto show and saw Galpin auto sports bring a V90CC with a lift kit. They said it was custom kit for a customer. Thoughts? I like it but wouldn't want to give up handling for the one time every 2 years that I need to go over something big.

Why?!? Because Wagon! The idea is great. Just needs a better execution on the presentation, as image is everything.

We have both... We have raised to the clouds, and then the, let me stop and hold up traffic while I try to make a right turn into a parking lot over the course of the next hour and a half.

Wow, didn't realize people would hate it so much. There has been a long history of lifted Volvo wagons. I think they are awesome

I don't think it's that bad, and works with the more aggressive tires; basically a few inches above the stock CC. Come-on, some of you (soccer moms) make it sound like it's a mutant monster truck from hell. If it's manual power height adjustable, it gives the V90 a more legitimate off-road capability for those with a need to traverse very rough/rocky or un-plowed roads; it certainly helps increase the poor stock departure angle when climbing, considering the very long rear overhang. Now, where to mount the floods? ;)

This is interesting. Who has enough money that he or she is planning on using a $50,000+ car for something that requires a lift kit, but doesn't just buy a Range Rover?

Range Rovers have a certain image to them. An imagine some people may not like.

Maybe people want the funkiness of a wagon and they want to have fun. I would totally drive the Mercedes wagon with the portal axles. Make it a battle wagon.

The Range Rover Sport is much more capable and practical off-road, despite the image the brand may portray.

Yep, but then the 22" rims on low profile tires, and expensive pretty paint job I would never expose to damage. :)

I have both the CC and the RD V90's, and IMO, the CC is the best all around car. I think the stock lift suits the car. Now, don't get me wrong, my RD handles much better and looks cool lowered, being such a long and wide car, but it is limited to decent paved roads and less rear cargo weight (so the rears don't rub - unless you have the auto-leveling rear air bags). Fortunately, it is still very comfortable for having short springs and low profile tires. The CC just needs the 4 corner airbags with manual or performance mode height selection capability.

I've actually installed a 2" lift kit on my ordinary V90 18' AWD.
If you know how to it's an easy install. Strut tower spacers and then changing the rear leaf spring spacers. Increased wheel size also makes a big difference.
If anyone has any questons, feel free to ask. Pictures with summer wheels and winter wheels.

Nice! What kit did you use? (Or did you have to custom fab the spacers?)

I have just received my lift kit for my 2018 V90 AWD inscription from ASK design based in Sweden. Both front and rear spacers are made from aluminium instead of Polyurethane. My questions before installing is will this affect any other components of the suspension and will the ride be harsher? Cheers.
