V70R tranaxle grunge

I am looking at this V70R and asked the dealer to put it on a lift for me. This is a CPO, has a few door dings, badly scratched glove box door and could use some leather cleaning. Otherwise it's a nice looking car. I'm thinking the CPO is a 130 point joke, but then again I could be wrong. Anyway can anyone comment on this seepage, the tech said it was normal. The car has 35500 miles on it and they're asking $32900.

I can't comment on the photo. But the price is way out ther for what I am assuming is an 04. I just sold a clean 04 V70R with 43k miles on it for $23,500 and was happy to get that as I have seen other 04s with low 20k miles sell in the low $20k range

Yeah I think they got the first and second digits reversed. That price is ridiculous based on the depreciation of this car.

By the way, why is the depreciation so bad? It doesn't make a whole lot of financial sense to invest in Volvo.

Hey there,
It's good to see somebody else from the Wyoming Valley on this forum. I am originally from Exeter Township.

If that is the car that is at Rayco, they have had that one for quite a while. It is probably for a good reason (price!).

Good luck with whatever you decide though.

A 130 point joke with a 100K mile warranty. That's the punchline.

Seems expensive, though.

Very. Might be somewhat ok for an '05, but that looks like an '04. Hard to tell, but it looks like the trim is black.

If so, that's a total, complete ripoff. I bought my '04 with 26k miles 6 months ago and it cost 28k, no warranty, which I bought for $2400.

$32k is a total ripoff. Pass.

The angle gear needs to be replaced ... the answer to the question. Mine was no where close to being that bad when my dealer replaced it. It should look clean ... I'd have the dealer replace it if you are going to purchase it.

Re: V70R tranaxle grunge (3g3t7i)

Hey thanks to all for the replies and information. Yeah I forgot to mention the MY, it's '04. Re: my comment about the CPO, it might be a worthwhile, but I guess my naivete leads me to believe the dealer actually does something to the car before it is sold. I also get the impression dealers do as little as possible especially when they can hide behind the CPO. The CPO brochure says very little about the inspection, but after digging around the website I found the checklist. The scratched glove box door and grunge look like they should have been addressed. Oh well so goes the dealership experience, take it or leave it. It's hard to walk away from this car.
