My R for no apparent reason lost power and died last night on the way home from work. It seemed like a fuel problem and it was low on gas so i called AAA and had them deliver more fuel. It started but ran rough and then died again. Had it flat bedded to a Volvo dealer and there it sits until monday.

Re: V70R died on the interstate last night (paulharden)

my guess is fuel pump, it is a known issue which tends to behave like this
if it is, should be a pretty quick fix and back on the road...

Thats what I guess it may be. i was surprised though that Volvo won't pay for a rental car or anything.

But its up to the delaer to give you a car or not. Its not Volvo's responsibility. Each dealer is responsibble for having cars or using a Enterprise or something. Sometimes its out of Volvo's control,so really your issue is with your dealer.

Just had my second fuel pump replaced ... car begins to stutter around 4-5k rpm's when pushed down.
Could it be an ECU problem?
