My V70 T5 2004 MT have quite alot of wheel tramp/axle tramp/wheel hop (not sure what it's called).
But mostly in first gear when booting it from standstill. My other car V70 T5 2001 AT doesn't have any wheel tramp what so ever. Even tried switching shocks from the other T5 (thicker damper apparently), but only helped marginally.

Not sure on what to do next. Any advice?

Thanks!

More that the TC in the AT doesn't allow for full torque transfer to the wheel like a MT.
The torque limiter is removed on the T5 AT, even when brake boosting off the line with wheelspin it never jumped one bit. but yes ofc less torque will make it through an autobox
guess there's not much to do about it? other than suspension upgrade.

edit. oh you meant Torque Converter right? :)

LSD

Figured that you'd have the limiter removed. TC lock up only happens above 3rd, 1st and 2nd will always be limited somewhat regardless of software. What mods are on your T5s, you T5 hog you :)

Limiters? No thanks hehe :) I'm in the middle of buying an upgrade clutch kit/SMF and LSD perhaps that will help.

The AT is back to stock for now and all the goodies is on the MT, the poor autobox with 239k miles on it didn't like 500+nm :)

Current mods
Td04hl 20T/ported turbine housing with 9 blade turbine wheel
Kinugawa adjustable wastegate actuator
Red CBV upgrade spring
Snabb Intake Pipe
JT 3" Superflow downpipe and exhaust
EV14 800cc/min Flow matched injectors
DO88 Intercooler and pressure pipes
AEM progressive water/meth kit
------------------------------------
And soon to be fitted on the MT, RS4 MAF, we maxed out the stock MAF before beginning on the water/meth tune

you don't get full torque till 2nd or 3rd gear around 3,000 rpms with At. thats what if feels like anyway.

Depending on the turbo or the tune.

The ECM will keep boost low in the low RPM range to protect the engine. The stock turbos are capable of creating full quite early in th RPM range, too much to soon will cause engine damage. Also physically speaking, 1st and 2nd are short and will not load the engine enough to all for full boost production.

In R land a decent amount of wheel hop can be removed by setting rear total toe to 0.
