Does anyone out there have any leads for an aftermarket R-type rear spoiler for an '01 V70 T5? I've found one at a slocal alvage yard, but I would have to buy the whole tailgate to get the spoiler. Volvo wants $370.00 (before the VCOA discount) for the spoiler accessory kit and I'm wondering if that's the only option. I've seen several for pre-'01 wagons on the internet but nothing for the P-2 wagons.
Thanks

I could have sworn I saw a P2 spoiler in one of the spoiler company's ads on line

Re: V70 Rear Spoiler (1854sailor)

I recently called Red Bank Volvo (found them on ebay) and they sell genuine Volvo parts at a decent discount. You may try to contact them via email and see if you can get a price...I think the email address is [email protected]
The only downside to the spoiler is that it typically will have to be painted as it only comes primed.
Good Luck! If you find an aftermarket source, please post it as I am interested also.
Thanks

Check with the Parts department at Don Doscksteader Volvo in Vancouver Canada.
I bought one for an 02 V70 AWD pre-painted for $165 during their garage sale and then had it installed at my local dealer for 1.5hrs of labor - all in like C$300.
http://www.dondocksteader.com

We can sell the primed P2 wagon spoiler kit at $228.98 (Volvo's suggested list price is $269.39).
A pre-painted spoiler (#426 metallic silver for example) is $308.69 (Volvo's suggested list price is $363.40).
John Sharisky

Re: V70 Rear Spoiler (v70s tri hard)

I used to get them from spoilers.com when I worked at the dealer, I'm not sure if they still have them (or even if the site still exists.)
Volvo brought down the price of the prepainted units so much, it just doesn't make sense to get anywhere else... Besides cost being as cheap (if not cheaper after paint) the finish IS factory...

Re: V70 Rear Spoiler (dugums)

Unpainted is $198 and painted is $268 from redbankvolvo.com and these are 2001+ XC70 OEM Volvo spoilers and not aftermarket. I'm ordering one this fall. They seems to have the best prices on any Volvo part you need. Volvo roof rack was $90 with a $10 rebate and cost me $9 in shipping. My local Volvo dealer was looking for lots more....
D-

Re: V70 Rear Spoiler (dtmackey)

Those costs seem right on... Some dealers won't discount that low, but some do.... The dealer I used to work at sold them for $268 (exactly) painted all day long....

Hi guys,
I just wonder is the spoiler made of plastic or metal? Would it be possible to make it of plastic? And do you screw it on car (or glue it) or what?

Re: V70 Rear Spoiler (stric)

I think the P2 spoliers glue AND screw in, (drilling required)
Early cars (pre 01) are glue and bolt on only, no drilling required
