Okay, I was just browsing the news area (April to be exact), and there's something on there about a V70 AWD in England. Is that the new Haldex setup on the S60 or, I assume, is that the older system (forget what that's called)?
Also, why the heck isn't it in the USA? I've seen nothing on it in my Volvo dealer, but I think the regular V70 is a lot cooler than the XC if I were going to buy one.

Yeah, that was strange. We noticed it on the Volvo UK website in their news room. I assume it's a European model. I don't think there are plans for the USA, but I'll ask.
I would assume it is the older awd system that employs a Viscous Coupling much like the Porsche Carrera 4 and the old VW Syncro system. It's a good simple design, but not as quick as Haldex, and not as flexible either.

They should build a V70 T5 AWD or better yet, a V70R. I like that PCC, but it'd be a whole lot cooler as a wagon.

I agree the moment a V70 AWD T5 or V70R manual transmission is relaeased, I'm at the dealership signing the on the dotted line. It is extermely difficult to find a non-sport utility type wagon that has a manual transmission. The only laternative is an Audi A4 wagan, which is not offered in Canada

Maybe the stick versions were only european cars.
