Hey All,

One of my next mods is going to be to wrap the roof +

To make life easier I would ideally like to remove the roof rails so I can tuck it nice and secure under and as I will also be getting the a-piller etc done to have a wrapped top 'half' it would be the best place for a join and also ensure I get full coverage.

I was also thinking that removing the rear spoiler would make it a little easier to wrap and get a nice neat fold where it meets the roof.

I did a search but didnt come up with any info/guides on removal. Any help appreciated as I can imagine the spoiler could be easy (assuming its only bolted down?) but the roof rails 'feel' a little tricker if it involves a full headliner removal.

Cheers,
Michael

You have to remove headliner on both sides. You don't need to lower it in total but make sure there's access on the sides. Remove the grips on front and back, remove all interior parts in the back. The rails are bolted on with 4 bolts. There's an airbag in the way but with the right tools you can get the bolt out. I took mine out and replaced them with glossy black ones from a R Design car. It took me about an hour per side to get it done.

Awesome thanks! Thats about what I was expecting and just glad to hear they are not bonded down too or anything. So main hassle is getting the rear trims out and then just space/access to the bolts around the side airbags then?

For the trunk, wait for a warm day and use a heat gut ....then when warm use fishing line to slowly "saw" off the spoiler. You will need to then scrape off all the adhesive/tape which takes a while.
