My 2016 V60 is on AT&T. I guess this is great in Europe but it sucks here in PA USA. Has anyone replaced their SIM card and changed the carrier to something else w/ better coverage? I would like to use Verizon and use my family data plan.
On a recent trip from NJ to PA on turnpikes the link (and car WiFi) kept dropping out w/ one or less "bars".

I swapped my SIM out for a T-Mobile SIM a few months after buying the car and see no change in coverage or performance. I did it because of a short-term promotion that let me add a line for "free" for life. If it weren't for the free line I would just tether my phone to the car and/or any devices I want to connect so I could connect at LTE speeds instead of the 3G connection provided by the car.

I'm not 100% sure, but I recall reading somewhere that Verizon won't work in our cars.

Just a side comment. The on call app does not require the monthly sim card subscription. Just the on call subscription.

I didn't know this until after paying for it for several months.
