Hello I am Rene Berube, Director of Upsolute chiptuning North America. Upsolute is an Austrian company that chips virtually all the European models that have advanced engine management control. I began our foray into the North American market with the VW TDI's, our reputation is very strong with TDI owners as we are the chip of choice. <A HREF="http://www.tdiclub.com" TARGET=_blank>www.tdiclub.com</A> We have gradually incorporated the other models of the VW lineup. The development of the files has already been done at our facility in Austria. US models have slightly different files and the files must be sent to our team of programmers in Austria to customize the file for the North American market.Our normal charges are $300.00 for the upgrade, if the ECU is shipped to us, the cost is $325.00 which includes express overnight shipping on the return of the ECU. For this Pilot program we are seeking 2 of each model to be the first to try our upgrade, the cost for this pilot program will be $225.00. We offer a money back garauntee, if you are not delighted by the upgrade, we will return your stock program and refund your money. For the pilot we prefer direct visits to one of our distributors, but we will accept shipped ECU's as well if the client is aware that sometimes (rarely) a program must be adjusted, and the possibility exists that the ECU will need to be sent back for this, if this is the case we will incur the shipping costs. I am located in Charlotte, NC, I have distributors in Ottawa, Toronto, and Green Bay Wi. We are adding a distributor in Tampa in a couple of weeks, we also have a dyno availible to us in North Carolina and Tampa. Below I have posted all the models of Volvo we are capable of upgrading with their stock HP and chipped HP. realize that these figures are conservative and should be considered the minimum. Rene,<P>A distributor in Green Bay? Like up here in the land of the Frozen Tundra? Surely you jest! I have a 2001 S40 and would be interested.<P>

Buzz, Garrett Franklin is located in Oconto, just outside of Green Bay, unfortunately he is on a humanitarian mission to El Salvador at the moment, he will be returning April 2nd. His email response is sporadic at the moment due to the EarthQuake disruption of the infrastructure there, but if you send hem an email he will respond when he returns, [email protected] be sure to let him know your make and model.<P>

I'm curious about the V70 T5. You list 240 as stock HP. My 2001 is supposed to have 247HP when stock. Are your chips available for the 2001 V70 T5?<P>- Darell<P><P>

We can do any model and year listed, not sure if the manufacturer rated the newer models higher or what. I can tell you our figures are conservative and should be considered the minimum and not the average.
