Anybody ever tried Upsolute ECU upgrade? How was it?
The reason I'm asking is I just had a shop named Autothrioty spend 3HOURS installed Upsolute software. On my drive way home, I felt the car has not changed at all. Then I went to my friends' shop, tested the boost, for only 1 time it reads 10 psi, 99% of time is between 6 and 7 psi, comparing to what the Upsolute HQ said 'at least 15psi". Before the installation, they say they have 30days money-back. After I found problems, they say they can give the money back but they will have to charge the labor, unless i can prove that my car did not have turbo leak. Now either get the car checked or have them charged labor, I'm gonna loss some money.
Any commons? Please!

Re: Upsolute chip tuning? Any ideas? (trgft)

Just cause the guy has money doesn't mean he deserves to be hosed...
Make the company honor their word... If it's spelled out in the 30 day terms and conditions that they can charge you labor, then they can... If not, then they can't...
If they can't and they still refuse, hopefully you put it on a credit card...
Did they actually solder a chip into your ecu, or just a software flash???
After you're done screwing around with unkown upgrades, use this forum to determine what you should really be spending your money on... And don't forget, you get what you pay for...
My vote is an IPD ecu upgrade... Reputable company, good value... You'll find many users here who swear by them...

seriously, if ONE person (let alone a 23 yr. old) has $ to buy all these cars for himself, then he obvious hasn't learned the concept of saving, and should have no worries about the price of an ECU.
just my .02 (rofl)

Re: Upsolute chip tuning? Any ideas? (trgft)

It took me about a month to get my upsolute tune to work effectively.
I replaced plugs twice and they gapped at .23
I replaced every hose possible with silcone and secured them with quality clamps.
I cranked down the waste gate actuator to 6-8lbs.
I installed a cutom 3" cat back with two magna flow resonators and no muffler.
My custom downpipe is now being built since I got my flange from Jesse.
I'm running 13-15 lbs. boost at wot and it holds strong. I have some detonation occassionally but feel the downpipe may fix it.
I've had it up to 140+ and it begs for more.
I drove 1hour and a half to another motorsport to check my car, They dynoed the car and they installed a boost controller. They were telling me that if the car allows the turbo to run 14psi by adjusting boost controller, then the car should have an upgraded software, otherwise it would either stops at stock psi or shuts off when it goes over stock boost. even if that is ture, still the guy from Upsolute never mentioned it requires a boost controller in order to get the performance. so I'm gonna get my money back tomorrow.

For those people who have been talking about my cars, you guys are just bored. I forgive you for using aggressive language since we all on the same forum.
some one was quoting what Confucious said, I have a suggestion for you, read then talk.
People who believed "having money means able to wast money", that's probably what you would do when you have, but keep the idea yours.
I dont know about you guys, I met so many people at my age on the Rangerover forum and at rangerover meetings. I guess normal things may not normal to different people.
We all came here to know more about our cars. Can't we keep it simple.
peace.
