I am going to be rebuilding the front suspension on my '07 XC90 V8. The Volvo branded strut mounts are around $125 each, which seems a bit pricey. On FCP Euro the reviews for the Lemforder (OEM) strut mount are quite negative.

Does anyone know who the OE is? Choices are Lemforder, Cortico, Nordic, FEBI-Bilstein (second most expensive behind Volvo branded).

Thanks!

If I were going to put an aftermarket bearing plate on, I might use Corteco.

Have you looked at FCP Euro (great parts source and give a lifetime guarantee on all parts, including wear parts), they have Lemforder and Corteco options (along with Volvo).

FCP Euro lists Corteco as making the OEM part.

FCPEuro also lists Lemforder as OEM but that does not mean much. Reviews are poor. I am leaning towards Febi but FCP does not have them listed for some reason. I have never used Corteco for anything.

I'm doing the same thing on my 07 V8
- ordered Febi for the Upper Strut Mounts via eBay on Sunday 6/30 11:56pm. Got them today, Tuesday 7/2, via Priority Mail. http://ebay.com/itm/122820956648 at $60.06 each shipped before taxes.

PM'd you, sprnova!

Lemforder is indeed suspiciously cheap, I cannot figure out how a critical heavy bearing would sell for only $15

May also try Ebay for older stocks, maybe Moog is a good one ? https://www.ebay.com/itm/Suspension...m=132878963178&_trksid=p2047675.c100005.m1851

May want to order the Corteco (or even the Lemforder), then grab them and ask Volvo to show you a genuine one - then just compare any stamped text or numbers (if any), see if any of these is an actual genuine with just the Volvo name scratched off
