I got the rear(special active) earlier than the front and I also got all the suspension kits on the same day. So I replace the rear shock, tie rods, sway bar bushing and the front/rear end link the next day to catch up before the rainy week. I took the stock one out and compare both rebounds, the red one looks slower than stock(but nothing leaks). Once driving on the road, my rear feels much solid.
A half of week later the front struts are coming but I don't have time and place to install them because of the rain and snow every day even in Spring. My classmate told me to his friend's shop to replaced the front struts and do the alignment. They quote me at the beginning was around $300CAD with alignment(they said they have student/airforce discount). But finally said it take 5hr for the work and alignment was extra so charged me $550CAD with the missing battery cap and my car always steer to the right. They said it needs to take all the upper cover, including the windshield wiper, to access the top struts and I also don't have any pictures of the work. When my car came back looks a little bit messy with a flapping top cover and my windshield wiper set really high on my sight. I wish I can have my own shop that I can do it myself (because I replaced the rear just took my 2hr).
But I'm not sure those white covers should go with the new shock or not. I couldn't see it myself but it actually still in my stock struts.
So for the front that adjustable, in my setting would be turning 90-180 degrees would be good for daily and also getting comfort same as lastest V60. If I turned 400-540 degrees, it actually feels like you driving in Golf R. keep going more will become stiff and the car movement more activity. But it actually improves a lot for the steering action and feels much solid when you turning on the bumpy road(will not like a boat).
It doesn't look really good when it lower down isn't it?
