Just an update for those who may have been left hanging...
Slacktard the fabrication guy is taking his sweet 'ol time.... nothing but empty promises.... the car still sits with the drivetrain removed and with a big hole in the trunk where the trunk and gas tank used to be... bastard hasn't even tubbed the fenderwells yet.....
Every f***ing week I call the guy for an update, and it's the same 'ol s**t: "Oh hey, yeah, I'm really psyched out about working on your car" or "Yeah, I'm still doing some figure estimates on paper" etc.
So meanwhile I had purchased the rear 275/40ZR17 tires, custom-built Tremec TR-3550 transmission, Simpson 5-point harnesses, Kirkey racing seat w/padded cloth covers, and Wilwood brake proportioning valve, yet there is much much more to be purchased - the Mark Williams built rear end - this could cost upward of $3,000.00, and the longer the ******* waits to take measurements the more I want to find another shop to have the car transported to.... yet no other fabrication shops within a 20 mile radius seem to exist... This is total bulls**t.... Meanwhile I'm sure my 142 will need servicing soon, yet I will have to rent a car or worse yet, take the shame train (public transportation) to and from work while it gets serviced!!! Arrrgh!!!
The last time I talked to the guy it was agreed that he was going to drop an LT1 into it with aluminum heads, since I needed to eventually decide on an engine... well since he's a V8 guy, what better attempt to motivate his lazy ass, right? We'll see what happens... maybe he'll complete the work by July of next year instead of July of this year...... I'm not holding my breath on this one.... #(*&*($%&^@#$%&*(!!!!!! ArrrrrggghhHHH!!!!
-he who stacks pork
