Its an AWD car and the M66 is an AWD manual trans, bolts right up

There is no haldex on a P80. Its got a viscous coupler in the back. Silicone clutch. Doing the swap up front doesn't affect that stuff back there. Pretty sure on a 2000 you can use the original angle gear too. You have to fab a couple of brackets but that's about it, an M58 (5 speed AWD manual trans) bolts right up even more so without any modifications. This guy isn't the only one to do it, there's a lot of people with swapped awd wagons

got it. so, only the transaxle itself is used and the rest of the driveline is the original P80.
hussein on VS comes to mind as well.

So the auto and manual axles (splines) are interchangeable? I'd think splines and length would be different enough to make this a nightmare. If I could have found a manual 98-00 V70R....

Look at Big Will's build. Very OEM-like and cleanly done, even the local dealer will service his car without complaining about mods.
