Hi all, does anyone know if the 2001 S60 T5 has a drive by wire system, or a cable throttle system. I was wondering this because I have heard that in some cars that Floored on the pedal, might not be actually be as "floored" as you can go... If that makes sense.....

After MY99, all the T5s are DBW I think. Thought GIAC would have told you that already.....but that's fine, that's what Swedespeed is here for. http://********************/smile/emwink.gif

I think they did say it was drive by wire... but have any ideas on what im talken about the "full throttle"?

My impression is that the throttle is compensating a lot.
I think drive by wire came on the P2X models.
First the S80 and later that V70new and S60.
The MAF gives the Throttle the information also.
The first V70's were a little strange on the throttle because you could clearly feel the throttle not doing what the pedal did.
I don't know about the current models but my car has a recalibrated pedal curve and responds very precise to the movements.
Once safety features or fault prevention takes over the experience can be very strange.
The "reduced power mode" program's change the pedal to throttle body ratio also and change you car into a 4000 rpm redline machine or 2000 rpm, very strange.
