Prospero and I spent the afternoon getting some custom exhaust work done at a local mennonite exhaust shop. While mine went quick and smooth, they had a bit more trouble fitting a 3" bend properly overtop of his rear subframe. Nonetheless, they accomplished it and it looks beautiful! These guys are hard, honest workers, and their prices are unmatched! While I originally planned to come straight off the DP with 3" and go into a 3" high-flow CAT, they weren't comfortable doing it with the limited space, so I respected that and started my 3" immediately after the CAT. The pics tell the rest!

Two Swedes on the lift.

Inside shot.

My stock R exhaust system.

New 3" Exhaust Completed.

Prospero's C70 Stock System.

His 3" Exhaust Completed WITH High-Flow CAT.
Looks good. I like the tips and the angle they exit the back of the car. Any driving impressions? Sound, performance difference?

Re: Two Volvos go "exhausting" !! S60R and C70 (Wayne T5)

i love the whole setup, however, after driving around last night, i think its a little loud for my taste. I might take it back there this week and add a 3" resonator to quiet it a little. as far as performance, im sure theres a few hp to be added, but the real improvement from opening up this exhaust system won't show through until higher boost is being run, and it becomes imperative to remove that restriction

It can push the exhaust into the driveshaft and wack!
Also explains the rain squeal.

phuz, what you have is essentially the Svenske exhaust, 2 small resonators and 3". I found it to be way too loud. I removed the REAR resonator and put a 5x8 oval (like StaggRLee) Magnaflow, center in and out straight through muffler. Sounds perfect to me now!
